Passenger Briefing Requirements

Use SAFETY acronym.
- FAA General Aviation Passenger SAFETY Briefing
- S - Seatbelts
  - 14 CFR §91.107 - Use of safety belts, shoulder harnesses, and child restraint systems
  - Before fliying the PIC must tell each person on board how to fasten and unfasten their seat belt / shoulder harness.
  - Everyone must wear their seat belt / shoulder harness before taxiing / takeoff / landing.
    - 14 CFR §91.107(a)(3)
    - "Each person must occupy an approved seat or berth with a safety belt and, if installed, shoulder harness, properly secured about him or her during movement on the surface, takeoff, and landing."
- A - Air
  - How to adjust cabin air
  - Airsickness - where are the bags
- F - Fire extinguisher
  - Where it is and how to remove and use it
  - PASS
    - P - Pull the pin
    - A - Aim at the base of the fire
    - S - Squeeze
    - S - Sweep
  - Designate who will use the fire extinguisher and who will fly the plane in the event of a fire.

  - Mostly how to use doors
  - Fire on ramp - where to evacuate and meet
- T - Traffic and Talking
  - If you see traffic let pilot know
  - Don't talk during takeoff / landing
